Re: Please Help identifying
Definitely over kill, I built it with the parts I had laying around. it’s going to run more like a diesel. Low rpm not burning much fuel.I am shooting for part throttle cruise 3000-3500 at 28-30 mph. I will be crossing from fl to the Bahamas a few times a year. Only 70 miles or so. Interesting, not...

Re: Please Help identifying
It is a 454 base I built out of old parts I had from my racing days. Basically a detuned 900 hp. It should make 650-700 hp. I lowered the compression to 7.9:1 still run on 85 octane fuel if needed. It’s 588 cubic inch low rpm 5200 max.  Wow, a bit overkill LOL Should be interesting t...

Re: Please Help identifying
It did not come with a V-Drive. Power was most likely a Mercruiser/Ford 302 188 or 215hp or a Chrysler 318 225hp. Also the shaft size was 1" . That must have been nice with Yanmar diesel. What HP are you shooting for with the new engine? What is it, I trying to tell by the photo but my old eyes...

Re: Please Help identifying
Thank you for the reply guys!! Can you explain superstructure and broken shear? I have rigged many race style boats mostly older 41 Apaches. Never heard this terminology. The boat definitely has had a lot of work done. I don’t think they built them with honeycomb core in 71. The superstructure is r...

Re: Please Help identifying
Trojan put a number/ID plate on or near the ELC panel. But I bet that has been changed, too. The 26 was single, and the 30 was both twin and single.
An example of the plate is below. Any Numbers on your paperwork?

Any stern shots? The Hull looks like Sea Raider hull. The cabin has been changed for sure. Do you have the huill ID # ?
Good looking boat I like it.
They made a 26' and a 30' look similar

Best way is to cut it out, replace the core, and reglass it. Injectadeck is another option. Look around on the site for photos of both

Re: 1977 Center Windshield F-32
It is possible Beacon Marine may have a drawing, they may even have glass.(Shipping would be high). I would make a cardboard template from the old glass or the opening in the frame test-fit it. I would have the glass cut from that. OEM is 3/16 have the new made out of 1/4" Post some photos, als...

Re: F36 fuel tank replacement
NICE JOB! Thank you I should be clear that the photos are from 3 or 4 different boats. The ones that looked the best were likely not mine. I got the photos from talking to one owner for advice on replacing mine. Thank you, Jay! The photos with the white engines in them are mine. And the rest are fr...

Re: 14M Intl Conv fuel tank
Your service guys are likely right. Saddle are never easy on any boat I have seen. Some even need engine removal to do them. Repairing/welding them in the boat would likely be impossible and not safe. You can have tanks custom-made. There are many tank builders around I used Luthers in Bristol, RI. ...
