Re: Please Help identifying
Definitely over kill, I built it with the parts I had laying around. it’s going to run more like a diesel. Low rpm not burning much fuel.I am shooting for part throttle cruise 3000-3500 at 28-30 mph. I will be crossing from fl to the Bahamas a few times a year. Only 70 miles or so.

Re: Please Help identifying
It is a 454 base I built out of old parts I had from my racing days. Basically a detuned 900 hp. It should make 650-700 hp. I lowered the compression to 7.9:1 still run on 85 octane fuel if needed. It’s 588 cubic inch low rpm 5200 max.

Re: Please Help identifying
Thank you for the reply guys!! Can you explain superstructure and broken shear? I have rigged many race style boats mostly older 41 Apaches. Never heard this terminology. The boat definitely has had a lot of work done. I don’t think they built them with honeycomb core in 71.

Re: Please Help identifying
Thank you. No hull number is on the boat, I assume because of the age 71. It had a pulpit on it before I got it think I measured 29 with it. It’s 10,6 wide in the front. I’ll add a pic from the stern. A couple of other things it’s a single engine and the entire deck and floor is made of foam filled ...

Please Help identifying
Hello all, I am in need of identifying this boat. The title says it’s a 1971 Trojan. I’m not sure if this is true. Any help would be awesome. See photos.
