It is a 454 base I built out of old parts I had from my racing days. Basically a detuned 900 hp. It should make 650-700 hp. I lowered the compression to 7.9:1 still run on 85 octane fuel if needed. It’s 588 cubic inch low rpm 5200 max.

Wow, a bit overkill LOL Should be interesting to see how she runs.

Definitely over kill, I built it with the parts I had laying around. it’s going to run more like a diesel. Low rpm not burning much fuel.I am shooting for part throttle cruise 3000-3500 at 28-30 mph. I will be crossing from fl to the Bahamas a few times a year. Only 70 miles or so.

Interesting, not the use I expected. Honestly, not the ideal hull for offshore IMO I would want more V. But that's me old with an old back lol. It will be interesting to see how she performs and the fuel numbers. Being it is an easy boat to push fuel burn should be good, I would guess 2 mpg +-
