David I believe is around 10 deg. With my Diesels I have 10 deg. down angle gears and the engines sit close to level . off course Mine is a F36 but my F30 was the same

Thanks Prowlerfish, That looks and sounds about right. I measured the angle quite a few years back, and just can't remember what I came up with. The boat is moored about and hour from home, so I can't measure it myself for several more days.
Does everybody concur with that number? Anybody think it's + or - 10 degrees?

Isn't this something Bob could comment on:?:
I have always regretted the lack of presence by the site owners who could likely be the most knowledgeable on these kinds of technical numbers.

I too, have asked this...Seems it would only be a bonus to the forum.

My F-32 shaft angle is 10 degrees. I confirmed it when i repowered and drew my engine room in CAD so I have most dimensions available.

"Young Guys"????? Thanks! I haven't been called that in 20 years!
Yes- I'm old enough to have drawn with t-square and triangles- then Mutoh drafting heads and now computer.
I fought it too... but while you were "done -drinking coffee", I was buiding part libraries and importable blocks that elimated redundant work that manula drafting never could.
oh- yeah- I was also checking virtual aseemblies while the parts were on the CNC and finding unexpected gothcha's before plating and assembly.
If you not moving forward- your falling behind.
