Please Help identifying
Hello all, I am in need of identifying this boat. The title says it’s a 1971 Trojan. I’m not sure if this is true. Any help would be awesome. See photos.

Re: Please Help identifying
Any stern shots? The Hull looks like Sea Raider hull. The cabin has been changed for sure. Do you have the huill ID # ?
Good looking boat I like it.
They made a 26' and a 30' look similar

Thank you. No hull number is on the boat, I assume because of the age 71. It had a pulpit on it before I got it think I measured 29 with it. It’s 10,6 wide in the front. I’ll add a pic from the stern. A couple of other things it’s a single engine and the entire deck and floor is made of foam filled honeycomb material laminated with fiberglass. I will get some pics of the stern tonight.

Re: Please Help identifying
Trojan put a number/ID plate on or near the ELC panel. But I bet that has been changed, too. The 26 was single, and the 30 was both twin and single.
An example of the plate is below. Any Numbers on your paperwork?

The only number I have is a hull id number that is on the title. I don’t know where they got it from because it’s not on the boat lol. 2101050. Title says it’s a 27 foot Trojan no make or model.

Re: Please Help identifying
Based on the hull ID you have starting with 210, the boat may originally have been a 25' Sea Raider. The 1050 in the hull ID may mean 1971 model year, and the 50th boat built. Someone really customized that thing as the superstructure and broken shear are definitely not production!

Thank you for the reply guys!! Can you explain superstructure and broken shear? I have rigged many race style boats mostly older 41 Apaches. Never heard this terminology. The boat definitely has had a lot of work done. I don’t think they built them with honeycomb core in 71.

Re: Please Help identifying
The superstructure is referring to the cabin/top side that has been changed. The sheer I believe he is referring to the top edge of the hull that looks like it has been cut down near the stern. Captain M, please correct me if I misspoke.Ba572 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 8:09 pm Thank you for the reply guys!! Can you explain superstructure and broken shear? Re: Please Help identifying
Correct. Basically the top edge of the hull does not follow a smooth, continuous curve from the bow to the stern, but has a 'break' in the curve, with the aft section being more flat. The F32 and F36 are more common examples of that, but also a lot of sport fishermen (Hatteras, Viking, Jarrett Bay, etc) have it too. And thanks prowlersfish for correcting me - sheer, not shear!prowlersfish wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2026 8:58 amThe superstructure is referring to the cabin/top side that has been changed. Ah I see!! Thank you for the help guys. Now I just have to finish it lol. I still have some gel coat to do in the back of the boat and finish up the engine. It’s almost ready to be dynoed. Did these boat come with a v drive? That’s how this one is set up. With a 1.5 diameter shaft. The previous owner had a 310 yanmar in it.

Re: Please Help identifying
It did not come with a V-Drive. Power was most likely a Mercruiser/Ford 302 188 or 215hp or a Chrysler 318 225hp. Also the shaft size was 1" . That must have been nice with Yanmar diesel. What HP are you shooting for with the new engine? What is it, I trying to tell by the photo but my old eyes can't tell.
