Mturvey, The only downside I see is re-sale.
As a previous Yacht Broker I always found it hard to understand why consumers and boat builders always harp on the shower option when they are rarely used
If you plan on keeping your boat awhile, I say make it the way you want it. Just bear in mind when it comes time to sell it may be a factor.

I thought about that, but you know - up here, boats really only have value if they are useful. A shower in a boat w/ a 40 gallon tank is not usefuljimbo36 wrote:Mturvey, The only downside I see is re-sale.As a previous Yacht Broker I always found it hard to understand why consumers and boat builders always harp on the shower option when they are rarely used

First thing I did after getting my Sea Raider was take out the shower curtain.....the shower on this boat is a joke. The drain pan was about 18 inches square, the curtain was mounted on a round track that was about 18 inches in diameter..........the hand held shower head connected to the sink faucet.........I'm 6' 4"..............need I say more???............John

When it comes time to sell, just don't mention it. ( Don't list it as a feature either!) No one will notice till the first extended cruise.
